About me
I’m Gavin Alexander, a marching band show writer, designer, and music creator committed to helping programs deliver high-impact, modern productions. My work focuses on clear musical pacing, cinematic storytelling, and a DCI-influenced style tailored for high school performers.
I build shows that feel exciting for students, effective for judges, and manageable for directors. Whether I’m writing custom wind books, crafting front ensemble sketches, shaping full show concepts, or offering creative direction, my goal is always the same: create productions that elevate a program’s identity and give students a show they’re proud to perform.
I collaborate closely with directors to understand their ensemble’s needs, strengths, and culture—ensuring each production is unique, achievable, and built for competitive growth. I also provide trusted recommendations for percussion arrangers to help complete a unified design team.
